One of the Locals

Local is an overused word these days but we think we can rightly use the term to describe what we do. Our stores are located in a very tight regional area across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire as well as being owned and operated by someone who lives in the local area. It is therefore only natural that we want to support our communities in a tangible and meaningful way.

Just to give you a flavour of what we have been doing:-

We have adopted the local primary school in each of the towns where we trade. We have launched the St David�s school Breakfast Club in Moreton-in-Marsh and organise regular school trips to our stores to help children understand the importance of healthy eating and the provenence of food.

Raising money for local charity is really important to us. Our team members are committed to raising a massive £10,000 for CLIC Sergeant, a charity that supports terminally ill children and their families. They are currently supporting 33 children in the local area.

We champion local food because it supports the local farming community and offers local producers a route to a wider local market. We are proud sponsors of the Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards which champion the great food and drink available in the region.

We are a big supporter of local and regional food and drink events. This year we are sponsoring the Food and Drink Tent at both the Three Counties and Moreton Show.

We are keen to partner with other businesses in the area including restaurants and pubs as well as employing over 150 local people.
