A day in the sunshine at Moreton Show!
The weather was lovely and sunny which brought out visitors in their thousands to the Moreton Show on Saturday 1st September. As well as spectacular events in the main arena, the popular Warner’s Budgens-sponsored Country Local Foods Hall was once again a big draw.
Visitors to the food tent were treated to cookery demonstrations by Lee Crowley, Head Chef at local award winning pub The Ebrington Arms, who whipped up an absolutely stunning beef fillet dish. The fourth annual Warner's Budgens gingerbread decorating competition was another huge success with many children taking part, and some even returning from last year! Thank you to Cacao Bean for the gingerbread farmers and for doing the hard job of judging the winners!
Also in the Food Hall was a cheese and beer-matching demo led by Hook Norton Brewery and showcasing a selection of local cheeses from royal warranted Paxton and Whitfield. Our 'Meet the Producer' slots were popular with visitors as they enjoyed tastings of beer and gin from Yubberton Brewery and Cotswolds Distillery.
“Moreton Show is always a fun family day out,” said Guy Warner. “It’s also a great opportunity for new audiences to sample the quality produce from many of our local suppliers.”
