Forest School developments for Broadway First School
Broadway store manager Damien Yates enjoyed visiting Broadway First School to present them with a cheque for £356 from our Community Savings Scheme. Damien was shown around the Forest School area by a group of pupils and was pleased that the money will be used to further develop the Forest School activities.
A Forest School sets learning in a different context for children where they can undertake a range of practical activities and carry out small achievable tasks. At Forest School children can develop their team working skills and also learn to become more independent. Those who are unfamiliar with woodlands and green spaces can become confident in using them and this can form the basis of a life-long relationship with natural spaces.
Warner's Budgens is delighted that our Community Savings Scheme can benefit all the children at Broadway First School. Every time a customer spends over £10 in store, they receive a Community Savings token which is then converted into cash for local projects.
